Automating a Paper-based Process
UWS wanted to see what was being covered, where, and by whom, as well as figure out how students were performing under their current curriculum, but because everything was done manually, the process was difficult and time-consuming.
The entire process was simplified, automated and transformed with the implementation of 5 different eMedley applications. Now the program can easily track and assess curriculum, student performance and clinical experiences all online.
To assess student performance, UWS was administering paper-based evaluations in a variety of formats (multiple choice, essays, research projects, performance-based assessments). To keep track of clinical experiences, they were recording everything on paper and keeping totals in spreadsheets.
On top of that, the program was trying to align course content with various Competencies, Objectives, and board exam content, all entirely manually. Luckily they found eMedley, with applications powerful enough to meet all of the program’s various needs.
Custom Curriculum Alignments
AllofE preloaded eCurriculum with the desired Meta Competencies, Board Exam Topics, Program Objectives, and Learning Measures so UWS could easily track and generate reports to help identify areas for improvement.
Digitizing Forms, Exams and Evaluations
In eClas, all paper forms, documents, reports and tallies were configured for easy electronic editing and access. Then, eValuate and ExamN allowed them to administer and analyze evaluations and examinations entirely online.
With all their paperwork and forms transferred online, the UWS Chiropractic program can now take advantage of the eMedley system’s many reporting and analysis features to further improve their program.
